Memorize It!
Q: When’s my contract up?
Still in agreement:
“You have ____ more quarterlies under your minimum agreement, and the next one is due ____. {temp check}”
Completed agreement:
“You’re currently rolling quarter to quarter under the same full warranty, and your next scheduled visit is ____. {temp check}”
Temp check examples:
- “How are things going? Are you seeing any pest activity that we can take care of?”
- “How’s the service going?”
- “Is there anything I can help you with? Are you seeing any pest activity?”
- (if not due for QS this month) “Your service includes free, unlimited warranty visits, so I’d be happy to set up a service if you’re seeing anything.”
Q: What do you do on a quarterly?
| DEWEB | “We deweb 30′ up all the way around your home, removing any spiderwebs and nests, paying special attention to doors and eaves. This keeps your house looking good, and stops the spiders from coming inside.” |
| INSPECT | “Your field expert will inspect the full exterior of your home, looking for signs of any pest activity, entry points, or conducive conditions.” |
| GRANULATE | “We’ll granulate 30′ out on the front, back, and sides of your yard. This treats yard pests at the source.” |
| SEAL | “We’ll powerspray the foundation 3′ up & 3′ out. This will seal up any cracks or crevices and create a protective barrier around your home to keep pests out.” |
| Bonus helpful info (use as needed) | Seasonal treatments:“We adjust our treatments seasonally to make sure we’re targeting pests that are most active during those times.” Pet- & people-friendly products:“We use pet- & people-friendly products.” Interior service:“We’re also happy to treat inside anytime you like — just let us know and we’ll set it up for a time someone can be home to let our field expert inside.” |
Q: Can you treat in the rain?
Concerned about rain:
“Sure — you want to make sure what we do will work. That’s actually one of the best things about being a local company — we customize the treatment not just for the season, but also for the weather. One of the ways we do that is by using a micro-encapsulated product, so once we put it down, it’s not going anywhere, rain or shine. So when the field expert comes out, do you want him to take care of anything inside?”
Unable to treat due to rain:
“We have you on our schedule to treat for ____ today, but that’s actually one of the very few treatments we can’t do in the rain. Could we come out on ____ instead?”
Treatments we can’t do in the rain:
- Fire ants
- Mosquitoes
- Specialty flea & tick (SFT)
- Voles
